What kind of books does Collector Books publish?
Collector Books specializes in high-quality, affordable books devoted
to the field of antiques and collectibles. Most of our titles are
comprehensive identification and value guides to be used as reference
for collectors and dealers.
Would Collector Books be interested in publishing my book?
If you have an idea for an identification and value guide to a collectible
subject, we would like to review your proposal. For information
on submitting your ideas, please review our guidelines
on submitting a proposal.
How can I submit a manuscript to you?
Please do not send your complete manuscript or any materials until
you have first checked out our information
about submitting a proposal.
Where is Collector Books located?
Collector Books is located in Paducah, Kentucky—in western
Kentucky’s Jackson Purchase area. Our main offices are in
a large red brick colonial home on Kentucky Dam Road in the Reidland
area.
Although we do not have a retail store available to the public,
we do invite you to visit our friendly town; our historic downtown
flourishes with antique stores and boutiques. Situated on the banks
of the Ohio River, our floodwall now features murals of Paducah’s
history, painted by Robert Dafford. Also downtown is the Museum
of the American Quilter’s Society which honors today’s
quilter as well as the colorful past.
Our address is 5801 Kentucky Dam Rd., P.O. Box 3009, Paducah, KY
42002-3009, and our phone number is (270)898-7903.
How fast will I get my order?
Orders phoned, faxed, or e-mailed to us by 1 pm CT will be shipped
that very day! Orders received after 1 pm CT will be shipped no
later than the following business day.
Do I have to pay the retail cover price or are there any
discounts available?
Buy six or more books and receive the dealer discount of 40% off
the retail price. These six do not have to be all of the same title,
you may mix and match titles, as long as you have a total of six.
When ordering less than six books, you will pay the retail price.
How are my books shipped?
All orders are shipped the most cost-effective way (UPS, USPS, Federal
Express, RPS). Customers selecting specific carriers are obligated
to pay actual shipping charges, which are usually much higher.
How can I contact one of your authors?
If you need to contact one of our authors, you can send a letter,
e-mail, or fax to their attention to our address or fax number;
we will be happy to forward it on to them. You might also check
their book; some authors include their mailing address within the
books, usually in the first few pages.
How do I order books from your site?
Simply browse through our book catalog found within this website
and make your selections. Place your selections in the Shopping
Cart by choosing a quantity and continuing with the Shopping Cart
navigation. You may place items in the Shopping Cart and hold them
there until you are ready to place your order. Orders placed online
get the same attention as orders placed conventionally, i.e. our
toll-free lines. By creating Collector Books Online we are simply
offering our customers the ability to order at their convenience.

or manuscript readers?
